Club Sport's first foray into Dragon Boat racing was a wildly successful time! We had over 20 Dragon Boat racers signup and they practiced on the water in downtown Tampa every Saturday for 8 weeks. Then, on May 3, was the big race! There were over 70 teams competing and having a great time in downtown Tampa. The team ran three races and did respectable. With times of 2:02, 2:15, and 2:18 - they were not as seasoned as some of the veteran teams but held their own. The park was full of all the teams enjoying the great weather and the entertainment. Look for Club Sport to field multiple boats next year and we'll be looking for more paddlers - like yourself!!
