The 2nd Annual Adult Extreme Mud Wars (July 16, 2011) at Spa Beach park in
downtown St. Pete was a huge success! Selling out at 64 teams with 600
+ participants, we more than doubled the participation of teams from the
first year! Despite two lightning delays, the day actually brought
about both sun and light rain, which made the experience even muddier
for both the competitive and those fun seekers that just wanted to get
down and dirty. Teams went head to head and against each other for time
in the 8 mud & water packed events which exhausted, exhilarated, and
ultimately vindicated the masters of mud or championship teams. Whether
you displayed your skills of balance and weight shifting at belly
bumpers or your strategic wits at the eliminator, this contest truly had
it all with a variety of challenges. The additional slip and slide was
a huge hit this year and once again we must applaud those of you who
participated in the dance-offs during breaks… Your moves and ability to
showcase your skills in the mud made our day! Mad props to the DJ who
did an excellent job of bringing the funk. Congratulations are in order
for the “Masters of Mud”….1st place went to “A-Team”, 2nd
place went to “TBT”, and 3rd place went to “Dirty Deeds.”

this year…Their hard work and great people made it a special day for
everyone! We also want to thank all of the sponsors and charities that
participated. Thanks to the
St. Pete Aquarium and Great Bay Distributors for making our favorite
beverage available (Budweiser), Red Bull for the Beer Garden tent,
Rasmussen College for handing out prizes, Aveda for the donated
soaps/lotions/$30 gift cards that helped raise $ for
Hands4Hope, MOR for bringing the crew to hand out prizes and tickets
(MOR
Photos), TBT for their exposure,
RaceTrac for donating bottled water, the
Sirata for donating accommodations prizes, and
TSS Photography for taking some amazing team pictures and donating
the proceeds to Hands4Hope. Lastly, we can’t thank YOU, the
participants, enough for playing and helping us obtain the event
exposure. If you participated in the
ABC action news shot, put videos or pictures online, or suggested
this event to your friends, you will help grow this event for next
year. Thanks to you, this year’s Extreme Mud Wars helped raise over
$10,000 for a number of charities and we greatly look forward to
continuing to grow the event next year! Check out our video’s and

is all about!
