Tournament Scramble Rules:

--All players tee their own ball (Men from White tees, Women from Red Tees)

--Course rules and USGA rules apply.  Out of Bounds (white stakes) is stroke and distance, Hazards (red stakes) are one stroke penalties with a free drop (if not played from the hazard)

--All players play from the best shot, and then from the next best shot, etc until the ball is holed (no gimees, no mulligans!), one score recorded for the group

--Players may move the ball in any direction one club length, no closer to the hole, and must stay in the same surface (ex: can not move ball from rough to fairway, hazard to rough, etc).  Once on the green all putts must be made from same spot

--Tiebreakers to determine winners (if necessary): best score on #1 handicapped hole, then #2, etc

--In case of rain, try to wait it out and continue, we will not cancel the tournament unless the course is closed!  If the course closes during the tournament, we may go with 9 hole scores to determine the winners.

--Contests: There will be 2 long drive and 2 closest to the pin contests.  For closest to the pin, please write name and measured distance (must be on green).  For long drives, ball must be sitting in the fairway to qualify, when possible use GPS to measure drive from appropriate tee box

--We are all out here to have fun!  Be honest with scores and rules!

Rain Out Policy

--Should the course be closed prior to the 1pm Shotgun Start and we are unable to play that day, we will reschedule for an appropriate makeup date.  If the majority of the teams complete 9 holes on the tournament and then the course is closed, it becomes an official tournament (will still have the dinner/awards banquet).  If the majority of the teams is unable to finish their 9 holes, we will replay the entire tournament on the following another day.  We WILL play the tournament (even in rain) as long as the course stays open (decision made by the course).  Rain delays may occur, but rain will not cancel a tournament.  Please be prepared to play rain or shine, and have umbrellas and rain gear handy, just in case!  No show players or teams will not be offered refunds as we have paid for the spots up front!
