Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage – from the causes, to the cures, to the pain and anxiety of every moment in between.

Though it threatened, not a drop of rain fell on the field of 43 golfers at the 8th Annual Firecracker Open last Saturday. Some great scores were posted early as Where's the Beer Cart Girl took home the first place trophies, free rounds of golf, and TBCS Champs camping chairs by shooting an impressive 57(-15). Only one stroke behind them was The Shifty Brothers who carried home 2nd place trophies and Champs Hats. Third place was determined by a handicap tiebreaker between three teams and was awarded to former champs “Four Man Wolfpack” with a sold -12 score. Everyone stuck around for the BBQ dinner, more beer and some great raffle prizes. When all was said and done, the event raised nearly $500 for Susan G Komen. Big thanks to all the sponsors, the Eagles Golf Club, Susan G Komen and Annie Orlando, who came out last minute to drive around nearly 20 cases of free beer to all the thirsty players! Keep an eye open for our 2-person “Ryder Cup” best ball event in December!
