Thank you to all the players for the best
"Showdown at the Playground" yet! Our 10th tournament had to be the
best! We had a lot of returning teams plus many new faces. We also want
to thank all those who brought out new toys for "TOYS FOR TOTS"!
The day started early with all the teams
setting up their spots and tailgate areas. Most everyone had elaborate
setups with grills, food, and tents. We saw numerous cornhole games
going on and even a complete smoker trailer grill w/ motorhome! The
kickball was a blast, win or lose with 8 teams making it out of their
groups for the playoffs. As the "Elite 8" kicked off, 3 favorites moved
on plus one underdog, ETP.
In the Final Four, the games were intense
between great kickballers! In one semi-final, Get Krunk Crew just edged
the 5 time champs Who's Your Daddy by one run. In the other, ETP knocked
off the best performing team of the tournament, Don't Tase Me Bro.
The finals were back and forth with ETP
finally pulling ahead in the end in a well matched game. Get Krunk Crew
played great, but ETP took home the 2007 "Showdown at the Playground"
championship!!
