It was another
gorgeous day for some 8v8 Coed competitive and recreational soccer
ballin’ this past Saturday and the new USF Mangolia Soccer fields proved
to be a good new location to play at. Both the coed divisions had all
out battles that ensued throughout the day, but after 3 regular pool
play matches, only 2 teams from each coed division would remain for the
finals.
In the coed
competitive division “Monterrey” and “Team, Awesome” played smart
possession oriented ball with a lot of quick counter attacking.
However, after a lot of back and forth scoring, Monterrey would prove to
be the victor and take home the big trophy/champions’ prizes. In the
Coed recreational division, “We Miss Hugo” took home the gold and
bragging rights with their final against the “FC Barca,” who won the
initial pool play match between the two teams. The after party at the
CopperTop Pub had a huge turnout with some intense flip cup and quarter
competition leading to the ultimate destruction of multiple kegs of Bud
Light. The excellent food and great group of soccer players made for an
amazing evening that will not be forgotten any time soon so thanks to
all that made it a great time!

Tiebreakers |
|
The top two teams in each division will make the finals. Tiebreakers will be
determined by: 1) most total points (with
3 for win and 1 for tie), 2) highest goal differential
(The maximum goal differential for a single game will
be capped at +5) 3) fewest goals
allowed, 4) most goals scored, 5) head-to-head play (if any), 7) coin toss.
