Dragon Boat racing is an exciting, fast-growing sport involving teamwork and camaraderie. If you're not familiar, the boats are 42' in length and seat 20 paddlers (at least 8 women) in 10 rows. A drummer sits in the front facing the crew, and a steersperson stands on a raised platform in the stern to guide the boat with a 10' oar. The boats race on a 400m course in under the bridges in downtown Tampa with thousands cheering you on.
